Project team

Overview and scope

The objective of this research project is to carry out a meta-analysis of the literature on globalisation of education and its application to the African higher education market. We will examine in particular:

  • theoretical models and frameworks for distance education in Africa including the impact of social-cultural learning theories on distance education practice in the African context; and
  • policies and frameworks available and required to address the effective integration of information and communication technology (ICT) into teaching and learning activities in the African higher education market.
