Teaching, like any other occupation, has a knowledge base of its own. If some of it is generic and applicable to a particular level and context, the other is applicable accross contexts. The awareness modules are consisting of the knowledge base which is generic to the lecturers who are working in the pre university colleges in Karnataka. As you can see from the topics such as Aims and Objectives of PU Education are not required to a teacher at the other levels of education, such as elementary school level or the university level. Some of them may also not be required for a lecterer in a different state.
