Purpose

To identify the central tenets of a religion practiced in the Asia-Pacific region.

Tasks



  1. Firstly, select a religion practiced in the Asia-Pacific region that you would like to learn more about.
  2. Locate and research sources on your chosen religion. You should read widely about your religion, noting points of interest on key beliefs, practices and ceremonies. You should also read about the influence of your chosen religion on the history, culture and society of a state in the Asia-Pacific region.
  3. Write a profile of the religion you selected – making notes on the doctrines, central teachings and practices and important source book, written records or oral traditions of the religion. Your profile should be around 250-300 words.

  1. Using the 'E-learning activity and Personal Reflection e-Portfolio', upload your religion profile described in Step 3) above. This should be completed no later than the close (Friday) of Week 9.
  2. Please enter any useful online sources you accessed during this e-learning activity into the Regional Relations Source Repository located on the Study Desk.
  3. The e-moderator will add an overview of the comments after the closing date for submissions.
