You can probably think of somebody who is a very good speller. Often these people have "photographic" memories -- they just naturally remember the details in what they see. Other people have to work very hard to remember even the simplest of words. What kind of speller are you?

Most of us could use a little improvement in our spelling. Good spelling is not hard to achieve -- it just takes concentration and practice. With practice, you can improve your ability to notice common spelling mistakes, both in your own and in someone else's writing.

In GED Online, we'll introduce a new spelling list at regular intervals. We'll also explain some of the little spelling "tricks" that will help to make the spelling rules easier to remember.
